Speaker Bio

Joel Mussman

Joel Mussman has over forty years of experience writing code for everything from Unix kernel modules through server applications to user interfaces, and doing it in assembly language, C, C++, Java, C#, and most of the popular languages that have come along. In his early career he was lead software engineer on the LONEX project at the Air Force laboratory, participated in a whole lot of projects and security incidents that we will not discuss, and taught as an adjunct instructor for the State University of New York.

Joel really likes accomplishing things and helping people, so since leaving LONEX he has focused attention on helping the pursuit of helping anybody and everybody write better software. He does this by consulting and mentoring teams on projects and developing courseware and teaching anything and everything software development in the corporate world. His efforts have helped jumpstart the skill advancement of software engineers and software architects at many of the corporations in the top 10% of the Forbes Fortune 500 list, along with the countless other companies that really drive the global economy.
