Speaker Bio

Natalie Perez

Natalie Perez is a Software Engineer who specializes in VR/AR/MR development. She is working at NEDD Tech, a training and consulting, and app development company. She was also an instructor at Code/Art, Girl Develop It Orlando, and part of the WebDev teaching team at The Idea Center. Natalie spent her former years working at a law office where she coded and created reports and documents while converting the office to a paperless ecosystem. She also created training documentations and videos, and instructed group and one-on-one training. Natalie graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University and is continuously learning about the new and exciting developments in the mixed realities.

Natalie will be joined by guest speaker, Andrés N. Vargas González.

Andrés N. Vargas González is a PhD candidate at the University of Central Florida in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science within the Interactive Systems and User Experience Research Cluster under Dr. LaViola. His primary research includes 3D user interfaces for AR/VR. He earned a Fulbright fellowship from 2012 to 2014 leading to the completion of his Masters degree under Dr. LaViola. In 2015 he was selected by the Kivy organization under the umbrella of the Python Software Foundation to participate in a Google Summer of Code program.
